Republican Nominee for State Representative in House District 85 makes good on campaign promise to voters.

Dave HeineRepublican nominee for House District 85, Dave Heine, announces his retirement from the hardware, lumber and building materials industry after 37 years.

Heine promised voters during the spring primary campaign that he planned to retire to focus his time on serving the people in House District 85.  He received very positive messages from voters and area business owners who said they wanted someone who would listen to their concerns, be accessible and be their voice at the statehouse.

“When walking thousands of doors during the May primary campaign, I told folks that I was running for State Representative to serve them and represent the conservative values of the district.  I promised them I would retire so I could dedicate all my energies to representing them. I can’t remember anyone who did not seem to appreciate that.  I look forward to having the time to be able to meet with and listen to the concerns of our local business leaders and all citizens to help make District 85 the best it can be.” Heine said.

Heine faces a Democratic opponent, Kathy Zoucha, in the general election on November 8th 2016.

Dave Heine, won the Republican primary election on May 3rd, 2016.  He currently owns and operates a family farm in New Haven and retired from the building materials industry after 37 years.  During his career with New Haven based, Do It Best Corp., a 3 billion dollar corporation, Dave served as Vice President and Corporate Officer.  Dave has served the community in numerous roles including; Board and Vice Chairman of the Lutheran Foundation,  Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, School Board and Chairman of Central Lutheran School, Church Council and Chairman various Boards over 35 years at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Precinct Committeeman, Chairman New Haven Republican Committee, multiple youth sport coaching roles and more.
